Printers Screenwash is extremely effective as a dehazing agent. Strip your screen as normal using the appropriate stencil remover (eg. Ulano Stencil Remover Powder No. 44), then apply Printers Screenwash to the screen and let sit for a few minutes. Printers Screenwash will help budge any remaining emulsion, blockout, but most importantly it will break down mild plastisol shadows. Plastisol is oil-based and emulsion is water-based, so any oily plastisol shadows in the screen will literally repel the water-based emulsion and cause issues in your screen coating. Your screens will look fine when you coat them, but as they dry the emulsion will move and the final dry coating will be splotchy.

As far as dehazing products go, Printers Screenwash is so mild that it's classified as non-toxic. We appreciate these days that there are better solutions to the corrosive chemicals we've used in the past, and Printers Screenwash is a great example of where modern science has provided a better product, while reducing WHS risks in your workplace. As mild as this product is compared to something like Pregan Paste, it can still affect/dry-out your skin, so we recommend the use of chemical resistant gloves.
